Building Energy Audit

(One Day Workshop)

Overview:

In order to combat the ongoing energy crisis, we need not only to generate enough energy but also concentrate to save, manage and effectively utilize available energy potential. Energy management is particularly important under current circumstances in which the country finds it difficult to generate required demand due to financial constraints. Besides other  consumption areas, a large amount of energy is spent in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Hence an efficient utilization of energy in buildings can contribute to improve national energy crisis in addition to reduce buildings operation expenses. Energy management in buildings has become an established technological activity in advanced countries but it has not yet been fully exploited in Pakistan. This one day course aims at providing a short training session on how to improve building energy efficiency in the country, which in turn will help to decrease buildings energy costs and reduce national energy crisis.
